Where to Invest?
One of the major principles in managing an investment portfolio, especially a real estate portfolio, is diversification on a number of levels:
- Geographic diversity – Every country has different characteristics that are determined by parameters such as
macro-economics, political stability, size, level of market transparency, etc.
- Sectoral diversity [types of properties] – residential, office, logistics, retial, hotels, assisted living, etc.
- Diversity in property’s ‘life-cycle’ – the point at which an investment is made: the stage of development,
income producing, appreciation – determines its risk level.
